Before you start.

Here is what to have ready, what happens in your first session, what is free and what is not. It takes a few minutes to read, and it saves you guessing later.

Have these ready

Two things, and one of them is optional.

  • Your Florida county and your race

    The county you are running in, the office, the seat or district if it has one, and election day. That is enough to start. Florida only for now. Every additional state's voter file has to be cleared before we sell there, so we'd rather tell you no today than sell you a state we haven't cleared.

  • Your own list, if you have one

    A voter or supporter list as a .csv or .xlsx file: the export from your elections office, a spreadsheet of supporters, anything with names in it. The import screen shows every row it could not read and why. You can start without one and add it later.

Your first session

Account, race, plan.

  1. Step 1

    Make your account

    One screen: your name, your email, a passphrase of at least 12 characters, your campaign's name, and whether you are a campaign or a county party. You tick one box certifying you will use voter data only for election, political or governmental purposes. No card.

  2. Step 2

    Tell us your race

    Pick your county, then your office, from the Florida list. If your race is not on it, type the office and the place instead. Add your seat or district if it has one, and your election day. Your plan counts back from that date.

  3. Step 3

    Get your plan

    Upload your own voter or supporter list as a CSV or Excel file, or look around the demo campaign first. Then press Build my plan on Home and you get a week-by-week plan to election day, with the reason behind every task.

What Free includes

  • The whole toolset on your own uploaded files: lists, walk lists, phone, text and email drafting, logging and the week-by-week plan.
  • Unlimited exports of your own data.
  • Volunteers under your account.
  • No card, ever, on this tier. It does not expire.

What Free does not include

  • The county voter file. On Free your race is saved, and your voters are the ones you upload.

What costs money

The county voter file, and usage

The county voter file for your race comes with the Candidate plan, $99 a month, or $999 a year. County party and consultant plans are on the pricing page, one published list for everyone. Texting and mail are quoted inside the product before anything sends or prints.

Payments aren't live yet: nothing on this site takes a card, and nothing is charged until they launch. The published prices are the prices — one list, the same for everyone.

When billing opens: Paid plans renew automatically each month, or each year on an annual option, until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next charge, and your access runs to the end of the period you paid for. All payments are final: no refunds, full or partial, on any plan or usage service, except where the law requires one. The refund and cancellation page has the details.

Want a paid plan before payments open? Write to us with your race and county. We will note your request, take no payment, and the published price applies when billing opens.

Help

A person reads every message.

Email contact@candidate.gg. We reply within two business days, Monday to Friday. Put your campaign's name in the subject and say which screen you were on.

Please never attach a voter file. Describe the problem in words; a screenshot helps.

Signed in, you can also use Report a problem in Settings, which sends your note with your campaign already named. The support page has the rest.
