About us
Built at a kitchen table, like your campaign.
Local democracy works better when ordinary people can mount real campaigns. Not just file the paperwork and hope, but actually compete: know which doors to knock, get the mailer out on time, stay inside the rules, and walk into election day having done the work that wins races.
That kind of campaign has always been available to people who could hire it. The software, the consultants, and the folklore all concentrate at the top of the ballot, while the offices that shape daily life — councils, school boards, county seats — get run off spreadsheets, group texts, and advice from whoever ran last cycle.
Groundgame exists to close that gap: professional campaign infrastructure, within reach of anyone willing to serve. Import your own data, get a plan you can actually run, and execute it without hiring a staff you can't afford.
Founder story
The playbook came before the product.
Groundgame's founder is a risk-management professional who ran for city council in his own community, Oldsmar, Florida, in August 2026, as a first-time candidate with a small budget, no staff, and a day job. Nobody handed him a playbook, so he built one.
He pulled the county voter file and built his own targeting, working out who always votes, who might, and who would actually decide the race. He ran a direct mail program with a local vendor, organized phone and text outreach, mapped an endorsement strategy, and did the public-records research himself. He lost the race.
What surprised him wasn't how hard the work was. It was that every step had to be invented from scratch, at a kitchen table, at 11pm — when all of it could have been software. Groundgame is that working playbook, productized: the plan, the targeting, and the outreach rails, ready on day one for the next person willing to run. The vendor side is a request flow, not a network — the directory ships with labeled demo records until real vendors are vetted and named.

What we believe
Four commitments, in writing.
Party-neutral by design
The platform serves anyone willing to serve their community. No partisan defaults, no partisan examples, no exceptions.
Honest by default
No invented customers, no fabricated numbers, no fake momentum. Where a real fact is pending, you'll see a placeholder, not a guess.
Your campaign stays yours
No other customer can sign in to your campaign or see your lists, notes and plans. What is shared, and on what terms, is written in the terms and the privacy policy, not left for you to discover.
Earned in a real race
Every feature is here because it mattered in an actual local campaign, not because it demos well.
FAQ
The questions everyone asks.
Short answers here; longer ones a click away.
Who is Groundgame for?
Local, down-ballot candidates: city council, school board, county offices, and races like them. And the county party organizations behind those candidates, who need every race on one page. It works for partisan and nonpartisan races alike; the platform is party-neutral by design.
How do I get started?
Start free in the app: make an account, upload your own voter file, and the plan is there. Want a person first? Tell us about your race (the office, your county, your election date) and we'll walk you through importing your voter file and sketch your first two weeks.
What features are included?
A week-by-week action plan built from your own voter file, budget, and district; a shared calendar your whole team sees; email and text drafts you approve and log, phone scripts with call logging, and mail plans with lists for your print vendor, with disclaimers, quiet hours, and opt-outs checked before anything is approved; walk lists you can print; a donor and contributions ledger with the filing calendar; a dashboard tracking doors, calls, and dollars; structured vendor requests pre-filled from your campaign data; and story tracking where the monitored sources cover your race. See what it makes or how it works.
What tools does it integrate with?
None, and we won't pretend otherwise. Your voter file and donor lists come in by spreadsheet and CSV upload, and your data goes out the same way — a complete export, any time. If a specific connection matters to your campaign, tell us; we'd rather hear it than promise it.
What does it cost?
Pricing is public and honest: free with your own file, then seven tiers from a single race to all 67 counties, every price published on the page. Payments aren't live yet, so nothing takes a card. Texting and mail programs are billed by use: you see and approve the rate in the product before anything sends or prints. Everything we can say about money is on the pricing page; no sales call required to learn a number.
Is my data secure?
Your campaign is walled off: no other customer can sign in to it, see your screens or browse your records. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and we develop against synthetic data only. Data you contribute also feeds a shared foundation every campaign draws on, under the licence in the terms (section 7) and the privacy policy; read it before you upload. The details live on the security page.
Every local race deserves a real campaign.
Yours included. Tell us about your race and we'll walk you through what a professional operation looks like at local scale.
